Wreay Syke Alpacas

More Information

The Helm is a local public access hill in the south of Kendal with 360 degree panoramic views of the peaks of the Lake District, the Yorkshire fells, Morecambe Bay to the south and Kendal itself in the middle with views over Kendal Castle, the family home of Katherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII.

This walk is a moderate to more challenging walk mainly on grass paths which go up towards the top of the Helm so we can take in the views so sturdy walking boots or good wellies and a warm coat depending on the weather are essential.

Walks can be adapted to suit individual needs as there are alternative routes over the Helm we can follow, however the best views are from the top!

This walk will take approximately 1½ to 2 hours depending on how the alpacas feel that day but definitely leave 2 hours free because everything is done at alpaca pace which is very laid back to say the least!
