Wreay Syke Alpacas

A Little of Everything

This is a new activity where you can try a 'little of everything'!!

Spend up to a couple of hours with our whole herd of currently 23 alpacas, enjoy a Meet & Greet, a mini alpaca walk and also try your hand at crafting and help with a craft demo using some of our own alpaca fleece.

We start with you being introduced to and meeting all of our alpacas, you will be amazed at all the different personalities, this includes feeding them all their favourite treat. Once you get to know them all you can choose one of the boys to take for a mini walk around their paddock.

If you enjoy crafting or would like to know a little more about how wet felting is done, once we return from our walk I will show you the process of making felt out of alpaca fleece and you can also help with the demo if you like.

This activity is for people of any age and most abilities, ideal for children under 6 who are not able to go on one of our treks or for anyone with health limitations. This is also a good activity if you are a little unsure about meeting alpacas, everything can be at your own pace. If you enjoy this then you might want to join us on one of our treks out on The Helm.

As we only trek on The Helm at weekends this is a good alternative if you want to walk an alpaca but can only visit us during the week. This activity means you get to walk the alpacas and meet the whole herd aswell.

(Please note that during the birthing season you may not see some of the girls as they keep their cria (babies) at a safe distance and a close eye on them whilst the little ones are getting used to the world! We are sure you will understand that their welfare is paramount)

Keep an eye on our social media pages as we will keep everyone up to date if a baby is born.
