Skeins or balls of yarn            £18 per 100g

All yarn is made with 100% pure British alpaca from our own South Lakeland alpacas. Available from cones as pictured above so we can run off however much you want into balls to your own weight (please see below each photo the weight per metre to help with calculations).

It takes a full year for our alpacas to grow their fleece and once sheared we decide which fleeces are to be sent to be processed at East Anglia Alpaca Mill in Norfolk and which are to be kept for hand spinning by me. Any fleece sent to East Anglia Alpaca Mill are processed in individual batches so each yarn is traceable back to the individual Alpaca it came from.

No dyes or chemicals are added so colours are completely natural.

All products made from the yarn should be hand-washed in warm, not hot water to avoid shrinkage and/or felting and dried flat to avoid stretching.

Other characteristics of alpaca is that it is naturally anti-allergenic and highly insulating due to the fibres being completely hollow unlike sheep wool, trapping more heat for added warmth.

PLEASE NOTE: The photos have been taken outside in natural light, the yarn can appear a very different colour in artificial light. Please get in touch if you would like any clarification or photos sending to you of the yarn in different light.
